Romanian classics in simple language

ROMANIAN EASY READERS is an easy-to-read book series in simple Romanian, on three levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced). The books are adapted following the author’s original style. They are suitable for those who study Romanian, as well as for Romanian natives who find the language complexity of the original texts too challenging.

Who are these books suitable for?

• students of Romanian as a foreign language;
• first or second generations of Romanians born or living abroad, for which Romanian is the second mother tongue (and normally not the strongest one);
• native Romanians who find too challenging the language complexity of the original text;
• anyone who is interested in discovering or re-discovering the Romanian classic literature, adapted for an easy-to-read experience

Challenges in the process of learning Romanian as a foreign language

For those studying Romanian, one of the main barriers to overcome is the challenge of reading Romanian books.

Everyone has probably started by reading children books, with trivial or useless vocabulary. Then, moving on to more complex texts, like books for school-aged children and young adults, could bring to frustrations, and lack of motivation, as subjects are often uninteresting to adults.

How to solve this?
